I can see where someone might struggle with it - but the chapters are very short . . . which made a very serious book - a little easier to read. My MIL is an avid reader, and she struggled with that one - enough to put me, with limited reading time, off bothering with it. Though I'll be taking a trip to the library next week to pick some holiday reading, so I might consider it. Currently I am re-reading all my Margery Allingham books, and a sort of background to cooking, whys and why nots rather than a recipe book - Don't Sweat the Aubergine. And I just read the Lark Rise to Candleford trilogy by Flora Thompson.

I too haven't made the switch to Kindle, for me also there is something about the feel of a book and turning the pages. And some books, the paper is beautiful! Old books, dating back to when you had to cut the pages yourself were such a tactile experience, I have a couple on my shelf. I find my mind wandering often times when I am reading . . . maybe we need to retire. :)Clarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17426331532588333180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127895472668355203.post-23518639598595993732017-05-28T07:31:24.648-07:002017-05-28T07:31:24.648-07:00I'm currently working on "My Grandfather&...I'm currently working on "My Grandfather's Blessings" by Rachel Naomi Remen, MD - on my Kindle for two reasons, though I do like actual books, I can adjust the size of the print and I can read it while on my stationary bike. It sounds like a bad excuse but since having surgery a few years ago, I've had trouble focusing. The surgery had nothing to do with my eyes, and it's not just my eyesight, it's more focusing on what I'm reading. Like I have to pay more attention and concentrate more. It might also have to do with being so used to multi-tasking that I have to turn that instinct off in order to enjoy reading. I miss the days when I would get engrossed in a book and stay up all night to finish it. Happy reading!Lorraine https://www.blogger.com/profile/11427333309803544827noreply@blogger.com
