finally finished . . .

I started these blankets ages ago . . . and finally got them finished.  I would work on them for awhile - then get doing something else . . . then get them out again and work on them for while.  I guess some projects are like that.  I think it took my daughter-in-law bringing her t-shirts over to finally get me moving to finish all three of them.  I think Jake has all of his baseball t-shirts somewhere also . . . so I may have to make another one.  :)
It feels good to have them finished!
It dawned on me while I was making Kasey's quilt . . . that I probably watched her cheer all those years ago - when Jake's team played against her high school.
Some of these t-shirts are sort of old . . . especially on Luke's blanket.
I think some of those he wore in Jr. High.
Such a simple way to re-purpose old t-shirts.

quilt for Charlotte

I spent yesterday finishing up the quilt that Abbie asked me to make.   A good way to spend a day with the temperatures over 100 degrees.
I believe I mentioned before that Abbie asked me to make a quilt for Charlotte - with the fabric that she had picked out, and how much I liked them.  It is not your typical baby quilt - but really turned out cute.  The most important thing - Abbie likes it.  I have some fabric to make another one for her.  It is the same fabric - only two colors though (pink and green).  Just a basic little quilt . . . my sewing skills are somewhat limited - but lots of love went into it.

Stella Helps

I started putting together a quilt that Abbie asked me to make for Charlotte.  I am so excited about her choice of fabrics and the colors.  It really is much brighter than it looks in this photo.  I was excited when she asked me to make and it and even more excited when I saw the fabric that she had picked out.
Stella . . . as usual is right in the middle of it all.
Just as she was when I was cutting out the invitations for Abbie's baby shower.
Really?  She can make doing things slightly more difficult . . . but who cares.  : )
So . . . is she really that interested in what I am doing . . . or has she figured out that all this fuss if for someone that may just interfer with some of the attention she gets?  : )

T-shirt Quilt

I made this t-shirt quilt out of t-shirts from the school I work at - and gave it to our principal for his birthday. I forgot to take a better picture before giving it to him. I have two more of these sewn together for Luke and Jacob - I just need to get the backs on them. Fleece is so easy to use for the backs - and it is all 50% off right now!
