Skeleton & Elf 2020

I was not sure if I was going to do my "Skeleton & Elf " this.  In fact, I still have really decided.
But I just couldn't resist putting masks on them.

Rainbows & Zombies

We had a full rainbow in front of our house yesterday evening.  There is something about a rainbow . . . it doesn't matter how many times you have seen one and it doesn't matter if you are 5 years old or 85 years old . . . they are always beautiful and amazing . . . especially when they cover the whole sky like this one.
. . . and this is what I looked up and saw while I was in the shower.  Richard knows this window on the back side of the house bothers me for some reason . . . (Maybe I've watched too many episodes of The Walking Dead.)  Yes, he startled me . . . yes, I screamed . . . no - I would probably not survive a zombie apocalypse . . . I grabbed my phone to take a picture rather than something to defend myself.

Bonus Christmas Elf Photos for today . . .

It has been suggested to me by more than one person that I should take some pictures of skeleton "Bob" . . . with a Christmas elf. Evidently some people find these little elves and all their activities somewhat irritating. (Let me just say . . .  this little elf is not a Target "Elf on the Shelf" . . . he is a decoration from my childhood and is probably older than I am . . . so I am a tiny bit sentimental about him) . . . but if a friend asks something of me . . . I do what I can. So for all of you who are fed up with all the cute "Elf on the Shelf" photos (you know who you are) . . . these are for you

Never stop laughing!

Flashback Friday

I think I mentioned in an earlier post that I have been looking at old photos.
This picture just makes me smile . . . and laugh  (the hair).  It was taken in Santa Cruz - I don't want to think how many years ago at one of those tourist type photo places.  Now I want to find the black and white photo that we purchased.  I think Richard was dressed as a sheriff?   The top photo was taken when Luke was two years old.  Damn - I was young.  :)  I love looking at old photos . . . I may have to do "Flashback Friday" again.
Have a great weekend!

Petty Officer Smith . . . LOL

When something makes me laugh, I have to share it . . . (even if it embarrasses my husband.)  I looked up while getting ready for work this morning and this is what I saw.  Evidently Richard's old Navy dixie cup hats are in his sock drawer . . . I'm still laughing.  Let's see . . . 32 years ago this hat had a completely different affect on me, but I know after 32 years of marriage how important the laughter is.  Good morning Petty Office Smith.  LOL . . . and still laughing!

Cute . . .

This still makes me laugh after a couple of days . . . a verbal exchange I never thought I would hear around my table (being the mother of two now adult sons)
Jake - "Look and my new Coach shoes"
Luke - "Those are cute" . . . "Did I just say cute?"
Who are these young men sitting around my table?????  LOL!
Richard and I just started laughing . . . I'm sure Luke using the word cute has something to do with all the little girl clothes in his life the last six months.  Love my kids!!!

These make me laugh . . .

I guess she didn't like the flash that the camera made.
Oh my . . . what a face!
I found the cutest book for Owen and Charlotte for Christmas.  It is called Tickle Monster
It came with these tickle monster gloves . . . which both my adult sons thought were the greatest things.  Here Luke is just wearing them . . . .
. . . and Stella - she always makes me laugh!

The New Year is nearly upon us.  I'm not one to make resolutions . . . never really have been.  But looking at these pictures this morning make me think about it a little bit.  So here goes . . .

For 2013
Laugh more
Worry less (pray every day)
Create something every day
Volunteer (something I really need to make happen)
Take better care of myself (as in lose weight, drink more water, eat healthier, exercise, get enough rest . . . well maybe I won't get enough rest - I'm going to be too busy reading, volunteering, laughing, drinking water, and creating.)

Do you make New Years Resolutions?
