Shabby Charlotte dolls . . .

I believe it is time for me to get busy making dolls and getting them back in my ETSY shop.
I seem to have gotten busy doing other things and I miss making these quirky little dolls
So I am hoping by the end of the week to have the dolls that I have - listed and for sale.
. . . and some new Shabby Charlotte dolls in the making.  Time to get busy!

Shabby Charlotte voodoo doll . . . Ghislaine

So I seem to be a little bit back on track - feeling more settled and getting some things finished . . . like this little doll.  I am not sure that I like her name . . . I may change that, but there is always something about each doll that I make -  that I like and seems to be the detail that makes me like that particular doll.  With this one it is the little pearl necklace . . .

Ghislaine is a very clever little voodoo doll
and made with hopefully enough magic that she brings a smile to your face.
She is nearly always happy, somewhat sarcastic, and also very determined.
When given a job to do . . . she doesn’t quit until it is finished.
Loyal to the end . . . Ghislaine will do whatever she has to do to help the people she cares about.
Keep this little doll around as a reminder
that life is too short to let anything or anyone bother you . . .

Shabby Charlotte Voodoo Doll - Bedeuten

This little doll was a special order . . . I am waiting to hear from the person who ordered it - to see if it is what they had in mind.  I do like how he turned out and I love his short hair.

Bedeuten is a clever little voodoo doll made with someone very specific in mind.  He is very loyal to the people who care about him and will do whatever he must do to help them out.  He likes strong coffee, fairy tales, and wandering through museums.   Keep this little doll around and you just might find that the smile he brings to your face makes dealing with mean hearted people a little bit easier.

do overs allowed

I had hoped to post a picture of a cute little pink beanie - with a pompom on top and maybe some little pearls sewn on the edge . . . but you would think that I had never crocheted before.  I kept having to rip it back and fix rows because I was off - it probably would not have even mattered, but I was in one of those moods that it had to be exactly right (just part of my personality) . . . so finally I just cut the yarn, threw it away,  and decided to start over the next day.  This is as far as I got before my doctor appoinment.  This is simple single crochet and I have made so many of these beanies over the years that I could probably make one with my eyes closed.  Sometimes you just need a fresh start!
This was a gift from my friend Jessica . . . LOVE IT!
