zombie finger cookies . . .
Jennifer made these wonderful "zombie finger" cookies yesterday.
Yes, they are a little creepy, but they tasted wonderful and with some ice cream were the
perfect dessert for the season finale of The Walking Dead.
perfect dessert for the season finale of The Walking Dead.
Not everything at our house was creepy last night . . . .
. . . we had all of these little ones over for dinner.
My favorite kind of Sunday. A little noisy and chaotic at times, but I love that part!

blueberry scones and positive thinking . . . .
I tried a new blueberry scone recipe tonight. Tasty, but a little on the dry side - I will have to find another recipe. I definitely will not make this one again. The weekend went by fast . . . some weekends are like that. I can hear Monday morning whispering already . . . I can't say I am looking forward to it . . .

For Today . . .
I like doing these things once in awhile - so for TODAY . . .
Outside my window . . . cold and dark
I am thinking . . . I can stay up late and be tired tomorrow - It's Friday!
I am thankful for . . . a warm & cozy home and our new oven . . . I made scones tonight
From the kitchen . . . glazed orange scones
I am wearing . . . a long tie-dyed skirt and a t-shirt
I am creating . . . a Shabby Charlotte doll
I am going . . . to look for some more scone recipes . . . they are my favorite!
I am reading . . . getting ready to start Fifty Shades of Grey . . . I was finally convinced that I should read this series
I am hoping . . . to have a nice relaxing weekend
I am hearing . . . the TV - Richard is watching Big Bang
Around the house . . . the lights are low, the dishwasher is running, quiet is settling into the house
One of my favorite things . . . a cup of tea at night before I go to bed
A few plans for the rest of the week . . . I have a couple of old movies I want to watch
From my picture journal . . . making scones
sugar and orange zest . . .
grated frozen butter . . . (I've never done this before)
I found this recipe here. They are a little browner than I would have liked them, but I am still getting used to my new oven. They taste delicious though. I will definitely make this recipe again.

sewing and baking
Sewing and baking, it has been one of those kind of days. I had one more onesie . . . I decided this one needed a tree. (Again . . . not a very good photo.) I have used up all of my onesies - so onto something else tomorrow. I am thinking some crocheting. We might take off to the beach tomorrow - so that is something I can do in the car.
We had some very over ripe bananas - which of course calls for banana bread. I am thinking this with some fruit and yogurt will be good for breakfast in the morning.
