Flashback Friday . . . LAUGH

Jennifer was looking through old pictures at our house . . . I don't think I have ever heard her laugh so hard.  These two particularly made her laugh.  The one of me because of the hair, maybe the fact that I was drinking a Coors, and something about, "you've been flashing that peace sign for a long time."  The photo of Richard and her comment had us all laughing . . . "so I guess you're married to Forrest Gump."
Have a great weekend . . . find a reason to laugh and have fun!

so many hats . . . only one head

Turned out to be a good evening.  We found the gift we were looking for in an antique store . . . but the person it is for may read my blog - so I can't post a picture of that yet.  Our friend ended up having something he had to do - so it was just Richard and I downtown.  He wanted to look at hats . . . I may have to go back and get him one for Christmas.  LOL
I really like this one . . .

This would look better if it fit him . . . but they only keep a few in stock.  I can't imagine why?  :)
Just silly . . . but I love it!
He has a hat similar to this one . . . love how he looks in it!
. . . maybe not.  :)
. . . and as silly as this is - I love it.  I took some other pictures of stuff that I intended to post - but these were way more fun!

December Cheer!

Good Morning!  Good Morning!  I am so glad that the week is nearly over, although it has been a good week . . . and a fun week so far.  I am looking forward to tonight . . . hoping to do some Christmas shopping (in antique stores - my favorite type of shopping), meet up with a friend, and simply enjoy a Thursday evening.  PEACE!

Best Boss Ever!

What does a great boss do when you surprise him by turning his office into a duck blind? . . . He gets out his beard and gear - and celebrates his Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday!

Happy Happy Happy

Last year we decorated our principal's office for his birthday with tinfoil.  We had to top that this year.  He is a duck hunter . . . so we turned his office into a duck blind.
Complete with a cooler full of soda and snacks . . .

Happy Birthday day to our Blue Jay Commander . . . we all agree he's a great boss!
Of course our crossing guards had to get in on this one!

. . . as did my little Christmas Elf.
Happy Birthday Jeff - your the best!

Peace . . . and frog kisses

It is such a beautiful day . . . I couldn't resist the sunshine and fresh air - and went for a walk at lunch time . . . time well spent.
 PEACE!
 . . . and today's Elf photo.

Bonus Christmas Elf Photos for today . . .

It has been suggested to me by more than one person that I should take some pictures of skeleton "Bob" . . . with a Christmas elf. Evidently some people find these little elves and all their activities somewhat irritating. (Let me just say . . .  this little elf is not a Target "Elf on the Shelf" . . . he is a decoration from my childhood and is probably older than I am . . . so I am a tiny bit sentimental about him) . . . but if a friend asks something of me . . . I do what I can. So for all of you who are fed up with all the cute "Elf on the Shelf" photos (you know who you are) . . . these are for you

Never stop laughing!

monday morning christmas elf . . .

It has been a busy morning already - and it is definitely feeling like a Monday morning . . . so I am going to do everything I can to enjoy it.  At least it looks like it will be a busy day . . . it should be time to go home before I know it.

". . .Wow, you're fast. I'm glad I caught up to you. I waited 5 hours for you. Why is your coat so big? So, good news - I saw a dog today. Have you seen a dog? You probably have. How was school? Was it fun? Did you get a lot of homework? Huh? Do you have any friends? Do you have a best friend? Does he have a big coat, too? . . . "  ~ Buddy the Elf

Sunday Stuff

 SMILE!

CHEERS!

I got everything done on my list today - shopped a little, baked a little, cleaned a little . . .
I didn't quite get my Shabby Charlotte doll done . . . but I need to think about how I want to accessorize her and what is going to go into her story.  I should have her listed for sale in a couple of days.

I included a link to the cookie recipe above.  They are good . . . very sweet, but small enough that it isn't too much.
Only ten more days to work before Winter Break . . . yes, I'm counting.

December 8th . . . Christmas Elf

I have a list of things I want to get done today . . . we will see if that happens.  On the list . . . shopping, put out some of my origami cranes, bake cookies, put up a few more decorations, take some pictures, finish my doll.  Add to that laundry and a some cleaning.  So that is why I don't always get done what I want to get done - too many things I like to do.
 Happy December 8th!

Winter night out . . .

It was a beautiful night . . . although it was cold.  In spite of the temperatures we decide to go downtown to the Christmas parade.  I intended on taking more pictures, but I was much happier with my mittens on . . . so I only snapped a few.  Just a simple, old fashioned parade with marching bands, scout troops, old cars, trucks, and a few horses . . . lots of lights and Christmas carols . . . cold, but fun!
The window displays are my favorite . . . I am thinking we need to go back another night without the crowd and parade . . . and hopefully some warmer temperatures - just to take some more pictures.

Back at home - I brewed a pot of coffee, poured myself a cup - complete with whipped cream and enjoyed the warmth.
