celebrate every day . . .

Celebrate!
Every day is a special occasion!

Life has been stressful, busy, and ever changing.  What's new - right?
Life has also been amazing, full of happy, and a blessing.
Life is like that I guess.
I am making time to create and play everyday.  I need that.  I think we all need that!

What you think, you become.
What you feel, you attract.
What you imagine, you create.

origami star pendant

"Clean out a corner of you mind
and creativity will instantly fill it."
~ Dee Hock

A young girl I know makes and sells these origami star pendants.
I think they are so cute!
After folding the star and adding the small bow she coats both the star and ribbon with clear fingernail polish . . .
I am thinking that I may have to try this with a small origami crane.

onesie . . . twosie . . . three onesies!

These photos could be better - but I'm more interested in posting pics of these onesies today than taking the time on photos.  I know - I should take the time for both - but having too much fun with the onesies.
I hand embroidered around this star - but may take it out and use the machine like I did on the star and moon below.
What is the Lucky Charms jingle? . . . "Pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars,
green clovers."  I can't get that out of my head.  LOL
So I have blue moons and yellow stars . . . may just have to make a green clover.  I also want to do a tree and a peace sign.

Origami Therapy

I tend to get a little obsessed whenever I start playing around with origami. It started out learning how to make the little stars like the one on top of this tree. I can't tell you how many stars I have folded over the last week. I think it works like therapy for me. Here's a little tree topped with one of the stars. Then I decided my little tree at work needed some cranes. So now, not only am I obsessed with folding the stars . . . I'm back to making paper cranes. There is something about folding these simple things - that relaxes me.
