Lily came out to one of Richard's tennis tournaments a couple of weeks ago. She was most interested in the snacks. I don't remember what this face was about - but I guess she isn't quite sure about whatever it is. She is so much fun!
I wasn't keeping my blog up during the time I went to Washington DC. I was just looking through my pictures remembering what a great time I had. This picture was taken at the WWII Memorial. Once I notice that California and Iowa were next to each other - I had to have my picture taken between them. 
We are at the bottom of the Washington Monument in this one. What a great bunch of ladies to travel with. 
I am not a good enough photographer to do this rainbow justice - especially when I am taking a picture through the front windshield of a moving truck with my phone. But it was beautiful - there were actually two of them. There is something about a rainbow - that tells us that our world is an amazing place. 
We spent Saturday in San Francisco - on our way home from Novato. I love going there . . . We stopped and walked around by the Golden Gate Bridge, drove around the city, and ate lunch over looking the bay before heading home. We need to go back and stay awhile longer.
I do not know how I could have gone all these years and not seen this before. This was served to Richard for breakfast when we were in Novato this past weekend. From now on my toast will be shaped in a heart. : ) 
We had to go into this toy store just because of the name and Lily loves the Five Little Monkey's poem. We found a Five Little Monkeys t-shirt for her - picture to come hopefully. 
Delicious . . . We tried this recipe this past weekend for breakfast. They were really good. A soft boiled egg - wrapped in bacon . . . then rolled in flour, egg, and finally in crumbs of panko, crushed almonds, and Parmesan cheese. Then we deep friend them until they were golden brown. They were really good . . . will definitely make them again. 
The weekend also consisted a lot of hard work. We cleaned the carpets and got the spare room in order. We really need new carpet - but this helps for now. I actually think we are going to put wood floors in rather than carpet. Anyway . . . I'm rambling - but I am really excited to have the carpets cleaned and the house in some better order. And this carpet cleaner was the best!!! We are going out of town this weekend for a tennis tournament. I hope to be good about taking pictures - so I have something to post. 
Jake hurt his knee playing basketball this week. : ( 
We finally went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings on Saturday. Wings were good . . . will definitely go back, although it is really noisy and talk about TV overload - they are everywhere. I tried the Twisted Margarita. It looked pretty . . . but too sweet for me. I should have gone with a regular margarita. 
If there is one thing I have learned as I have passed the age of 50 . . . It is important to laugh and have fun - and for God's sake . . . BE SILLY! 
And if you see two "Get Lucky" hats sitting next to the Irish beer display at the grocery store . . . of course you have to stop and take a picture.
In reality . . . if there was a leprechaun on Richard's shoulder - they would be deciding where to go have a beer.
Ok . . . so maybe I'm a little obsessed with my iphone photo apps. I can't quit playing with them. So this new one turns us into cartoons. I have to play with it a little more . . . to really get the hang of what all I can do.
But aren't these so much fun?????

I can't remember when I started this. I know it has been over a year ago. It is now about the size of a softball. I figure I will keep adding to it until I retire at least. You should see it bounce!
