enjoy the process . . .

I am rearranging every room in my house, picking out paint colors,  playing in my journal,
drawing. dancing, and doing make-up with Charlotte . . .
My house is disaster . . . but I am enjoying the process.

For Today . . .

Outside my window . . . early morning sunshine and early morning chill
I am thinking . . . I really have a lot to do before tomorrow
I am thankful for . . . a week off for Thanksgiving
From the kitchen . . . later today - pies
I am wearing . . . still in my pajamas (I love vacation)
I am creating . . . painted rocks and paper cranes
I am going . . . to relax and enjoy everything about today
I am reading . . . Desperation by Stephen King (I think I need to read another author . . . I went for a walk last                                      night and my imagination went a little "Stephen King" . . .
I am hoping . . . for some more rain
I am hearing . . . Richard flip through the newspaper - talking to me about the articles he is reading
Around the house . . . paper, colored pencils, markers, color books . . .
One of my favorite things . . . Charlotte's hands
A few plans for the rest of the week . . . Thanksgiving with family
From my picture journal . . .

wine labels . . . journal . . . me . . .

I have a friend who bought some of this wine while she was wine tasting in Paso Robles.  She says it is pretty good.  I may have to try some . . .  but mostly just for the bottles.  They would make really cute lighted bottles for Halloween and Day of the Dead.
I like this label the best and now that I am looking at the labels again - I wish I would have bought them when I was at the store.
I have a couple of other bottles with Halloween labels . . . . the wine in those I would venture to say is not very good.  Maybe I will dump those out tonight and have Richard drill holes in them.  It won't be long before I start getting Halloween stuff out.  I love this time of year!

I have been playing with my journal a little more . . .
. . . and smiling a lot more.
PEACE!

witch wine glass should I use . . .

Easy choice . . . this one!

Jake and Kasey bought me this cute wine glass the other day. Very cute, very thoughtful, and a sign that it is the Halloween season!!!!!

I don't get Spring Fever, but I do get Fall Fever - I want to be home decorating and working in the yard. I want to get up early and sit outside in the cool morning with a hot cup of coffee -I want to sew scary little Halloween dolls . . . I want to jump on a plane to Iowa to visit my family - because this is my favorite time of year to go back there . . . I want to make homemade soup and homemade bread . . . I want to take the whole month of October off from work - just to play. I will just have to be satisfied with doing these things with the time I have. Tonight I am sewing doll bodies, getting out some decorations, and cutting out stars to throw glitter on . . . if there's time.

Friday Night

A quiet Friday night - without much planned. I'm simply happy to have a nice relaxing weekend ahead of me. I was looking at pictures tonight and realized that I have gotten out of the habit of taking them. This I will change - starting this weekend.

Trick or Treat

These bottle of wine are the best things I have found this year for Halloween. I am not sure if I am going to actually drink them - I just love the labels. They had some others - Vampire... Zombie Zin... - but I liked these the best. "Trick or Treat"

Uncorked

I decided to do something with all of the corks that I've dropped into a jar over the years. I had seen a bulletin board made with corks and thought it would be fun to make one. I think another frame would have looked better, but I just used an old frame that I had. The idea was to make something out of what I had. I thought about cutting the corks in half - so they would lay flat, but decided that I liked the way they looked without cutting them - and that just seemed like way too much work to cut eighty corks in half.
I have one cork from a "Vampire" wine that I bought one year for Halloween and I stuck in one black cork - the wine was called "Little Black Dress" and has a hanger on it. The wine was terrible, but it is a cute cork. So I just need to let the glue dry and find a place to hang it. I will have to look for some neat push pins to use on it.
