Take me out to the ball game . . .
NLCS - Game 3 . . .
. . . and what a great time we had in San Francisco. Richard and I would have liked the Cardinals to win, but just being at the game was great! Being at a baseball game beats being at work any day. Of course the Giants fans were happy - but it isn't over yet. Let's go Redbirds!
I really didn't take very many pictures yesterday . . . I find myself wishing I had taken more - but then sometimes it is better to be too busy having fun.

I love October!
What a great weekend we had! Having the kids around is getting a little more hectic as our little ones are getting older, but what fun they had.
A few St. Louis Cardinal fans . . . surrounded by quite a few Giants fans made for a fun Saturday Night. Baseball . . . skeletons . . . beautiful weather . . . fun with family and friends. I love October!

For today - teensy, weensy spiders . . .
Outside my window . . . nighttime – it's a beautiful night!
I am thinking . . . what a great day it was!
I am thankful for . . . family and friends!
From the kitchen . . . chalupa, jalapeno poppers, pot stickers . . . and more game day munchies.

I am wearing . . . a white t-shirt and
gray cut off sweats.
I am creating . .
. a Halloween banner and doll bodies.
I am going . . . to definitely sleep in
a little in the morning. I am up way too
late.
I am reading . . . Sycamore Row by John Grisham (I haven’t read anything by him in years.)
I am hoping . . . that the Cardinals win
tomorrow.
I am hearing . . . not a thing
Around the house . . . Halloween decorations
. . . alongside St. Louis Cardinal stuff.
Yeah October!
One of my favorite
things . . . staying up late.
A few plans for the rest
of the weekend . . . watching the Giants/Cardinal game and the Walking Dead!
From my picture journal . . . spiders

October is just FUN!
"Coloring outside the lines is a fine art."
~ Kim Nance
I have these two little skeletons posed in a few other pictures as well . . . but this one is my favorite. What I love most about my skeleton pictures . . . Luke helping (enthusiastically - once I convinced him to help me) and Charlotte, who seemed to think this was all very normal, but then I guess maybe this is part of our normal. Richard just smiles and shakes his head. :)

doodles and more . . .
There is always something good happening on my desk . . .
Coffee . . . doodles . . . and hi-liters . . . and more doodles for October (I love October doodles!) . . . and of course cute little pumpkins and skeletons sneaking about.
footprints and hand prints . . .
I have been busy . . . and letting life get in the way of the things I like to do. Life does that sometimes. I haven't been posting here and I miss that . . . . and I can tell by how I am feeling that I am not giving enough attention to my creative side.
We poured some concrete in our back yard this past weekend and of course the best part of pouring concrete is footprints and hand prints . . . Sadie later added paw prints.
These are my hands.
I will doA 1000 loving things with you
And you will remember
When I am tall…
That once my hands
Were just this small.

Every Thing I Need to Know . . .
Like a lot people . . . I grew up with Little Golden Books and so did my children. I loved them as a child and I still do, Just something about those cardboard covers, the gold foil bindings, and of course the inside cover . . . "This Little Golden Book belongs to ________".
I still have a stack of them that I cannot seem to part with. So I found this book last week and had to get it. I would love to share every page . . . it is that cute, but that would make for a very long post. I have picked just a few. This book would make a fun gift.
(Each page also has the name of the Little Golden Book that the illustration comes from.)

Murals by Taylor . . .
I am proud to say that his young man is my nephew. Just thought it would be fun to share this photo of him. I am waiting to get a copy of this entire article . . . to find out more about his murals. I have only seen photos of his murals and other work he has done . . . . from what I have seen he is a very talented young man. Plus I just love the photo of him!

family . . .
I'm not really sure what I am going to do with all of them yet . . . but I just kept finding them and before I knew it I had a whole family. I had the two larger skeletons that I bought last year. Ashley brought me a small one the other day - (doll size in the photo). I found the dog a couple of weeks ago . . . and then the other night I saw the cat at bird. I figured since I had all of that - I may as well buy the two smaller ones and make a family. I have no idea why I find them to be so much fun.
Now . . . . what to do with them., :)
"There is something about a closet that makes a skeleton terribly restless." ~ John Barrymore
What did the skeleton say to the bartender?
I'll have two beers and a mop.
Why didn't the skeleton go to see a scary movie?
He didn't have the guts.

selfies . . . .
This is what I find when I leave my phone sitting on the table unattended. :)
For some reason . . . I love that face.
