Mod Podge

My friend took pages out of old books and Mod Podge and used them to cover these letters to hang in our library at school.  I think they turned out so cute . . .  and thought they would be fun to share.

At one point in this game Richard was over 20 points ahead of me.  When it came down to the end - he needed one point to go out . . . I needed two.  I won!

He said I got lucky.  I said I was a better cribbage player . . . so we had to play again.

I chose one of my favorite pictures for Throwback Thursday. 

This was taken a few years back when I was in Iowa.  It is of Dad and Uncle Al . . . taken at a breakfast picnic in Spring Park.  

It makes me miss them to look at this picture - but it also makes me happy.

I don't know if either one of them were quite awake yet when I took these pictures, but I love their "Good Morning" smiles.  I love starting the day with people that I love.
Lily proceeded to climb in my lap and read me Go, Dog! Go!

Back in July I challenged myself to send a letter to someone everyday for a year . . . I am just over 8 months into that challenge.  It has been easier than I thought it would be and it has been much more fun than I thought it would be.  The best part . . . I have gotten letters back!

Spring has arrived and what a beautiful day!  We took advantage of the wonderful weather and played some tennis . . . found a blue heart . . . and had a great lunch.

This doll should have been finished . . . and I was hoping by listing "handmade" as one of my photo prompts - it would make me get her done.  So . . . she is not finished, but I did work on her today. I have a few ideas for her . . . and I like how she is coming together, but I have something particular that I want to use on her and I don't have it.  I think that means I may be going to an antique store tomorrow . . . which is always a fun thing to do.  I'm not quite sure what her story is going to be yet - but that will come to me.

March Photo Challenge - March 6th - Bag Check

 Notebook, journal, pens, origami paper, paper cranes, book, Tylenol, quotes, sewing stuff, make-up bag, small calendar, quotes, little bag of odds and ends stuff . . . 

The contents of this bag changes a little depending on what I am working on or doing.  Sometimes you will find a doll, paint, a cribbage board, beads . . . 

 When we watch tennis on TV . . . I love when they do the players bag checks.  So I am dumping out the contents of my tennis bag as well.  

I guess I really don't need that many headbands or dampeners . . . 

OK - I do need that many dampeners - they are just fun!

 The sunscreen is a must.  I usually have quite a large bottle.  I guess with the weather getting nicer it is time to buy a new one.
