This is how I would prefer to spend my summer . . . but I am working summer school 4 days a week. WHAT WAS I THINKING???? It really isn't so bad, but I think just knowing that I could be home - in the sun with a book, a cold drink, and nothing pressing to do - makes summer school seem like torture.
Jennifer, Sarah, and Lily came by Sunday morning . . . we ended up going on a bike ride and stopping at a park. Lily had so much fun - it is so wonderful to see her happy and having a great time just being a 2 year old. It is also wonderful to have fun on the swing for a 52 year old.
Lily is so much fun. She is getting old enough that when she comes over now - we actually get to do things. She likes to watch the "Rainbow Song" when she comes to visit. By this she means, "The Wizard of Oz". The other night - Jake was watching something on TV - so we got out my small DVD player - and she had her own private viewing going on. Anything for Lily . . . that seems to be how it goes at our house. How I have been waiting for this . . . the fun begins!!!!!
