Halloween Fun!

Our staff takes what they do very seriously, but they also know how to get in the spirit of things when it comes to Halloween.
Starting with the boss . . . his costume was complete with a Duck Commander duck call.
I don't know who likes to dress up more . . . our principal or the crossing guards.  They take care of our kids . . . as well as entertain anyone who drives by our corner.  Love these ladies!
 Cute hair ornaments . . .
 Amazing witches . . .
and Snow White . . .
A lovely hippy . . . (with her morning cup of coffee)
A super sleuth on site . . . making sure everything goes just right.
This wonderful woman . . . I think she spends as much time working with our kids since she retired as she did when she was a classroom teacher.  She made this wonderful Indian costume . . .
Halloween needs pirates . . .

. . . and Mr. T
Gorgeous gals . . .
. . . and gorgeous witches!
Mary Poppins complete with a Chimney Sweep . . .
and our very own Civil War colonel . . .
(The witches really like him!)
Eye of Newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
    Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting
    Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing
Here's to Happy Halloween and a very delicious Witches Brew!

Happy Halloween!

How I love working with these ladies!  Halloween is always a fun day when you work at an elementary school.

Pumpkin Ale

If you like beer . . . and especially if you like pumpkin ale - you need to try this.  Dip your glass in honey then in a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon - add a cold pumpkin ale . . . so good and perfect for Halloween.
Eat, drink, and be scary!

grumpy fairy princess . . .

 A grumpy fairy princess . . .
. . . and smiling pumpkin faces.

When black cats prowl
and pumpkins gleam,
May luck be yours on Halloween.

Ridiculous Day with Lily . . .

I love that she dressed ridiculous.  (Her shirt reads, "Cow Tipper in Training" - lol).  I love her smile. I love her sense of humor.  I love that she is always excited to see me.  I love that she is at my school . . . and I simply just love her!

Ridiculous Day

This week is Red Ribbon Week at school . . . today's theme is "Drugs Are Ridiculous" - so we are supposed to dress mismatched and ridiculous.  This is my kind of day. :)

magic doodles . . .

I'm wearing my spider ring today . . . oh, you can't help but feel a little magical and full of doodles while wearing a green sparkling spider on your finger . . . It is probably a good thing I don't have glitter at work today.  :)

So lunch is nearly over . . . time to make this spider ring do some work.

will never find it."

Pumpkin Carving Night

Everyone seemed to be in the mood for pumpkin carving night.  We had lots of pumpkins, tortilla soup, smores . . .

Jake and Kasey brought patterns . . . Kasey carved a Hello Kitty and Jake went with the Ninja Turtle.

That peace sign one is mine.  I added glitter . . . never enough glitter.

Ninja Turtles . . . Hello Kitty . . . Peace . . . and Richard even got in on the carving with his Original Adidas design.
 Owen's hands . . .
. . . and some a little spookier than others.

Peace ~ Love ~ Adidas

Where was I when this was going on?

Pumpkin carving was followed by an outdoor movie with popcorn and smores.
It was a little cold outside . . . these two ended up cuddled under blankets.  Poor little Charlotte was running a fever . . . so didn't really get in on the fun.  I have a few pumpkins left . . . so maybe later in the week.
Happy Halloween!
