Happy Halloween!

There is magic in the night
when pumpkins glow by moonlight.

Happy Weekend . . .

It has been a long week . . . spending time with this little one puts everything in perspective.
"Amma . . . can I jump in the puddles?"
"Of course you can Charlotte!"

It's about learning to dance in the rain.”

close your eyes and make a wish . . . .

I am constantly amazed by this little girl . . . and fall in love with everything about her every day!
We were playing when all of a sudden she stopped and closed her eyes.  I asked what she was doing . . . and she told me that she was making a wish.
She would not tell me what the wish was . . . If she only knew how many wishes I make for her.

Sometimes your wishes come true . . . just wait!

I believe in PINK . . .

I decided my Halloween needed a little PINK this year.

simple fun . . .

Charlotte and I painted pumpkins one day last week.
She actually was in sort of a bad mood . . . so I just got out some paint and a few little pumpkins that I had bought and it wasn't long before she sat down next to me at the table . . . it took awhile for her to talk to me and for her to smile, but painting pumpkins eventually turned her mood around.
Sometimes simple fun is just what a person needs.

I love October!

I glittered these four little spiders . . . because they looked way too real when they were simply black.  They were in an envelope in my purse (because it's October and it makes sense to have an envelope of  spiders in my purse) . . . I had forgotten what was in the envelope . . . and did I ever jump when I opened the envelope.  Then I laughed and had to go hand the envelope to Richard.  He jumped half way out of his chair . . . and said I wasn't right.  But hey - it's October!
Spiders are definitely not something I like - but glitter makes everything better. . . even spiders!

Lily had her first visit to the orthodontist . . . look who she met there!
I love October!

and a bucket of skeletons . . . just because

flashback . . . just for fun!

Happy Birthday to this guy!
This is what he looked like 35 years ago when I met him.  I look at this picture and can see both of our sons.  His sister shared this picture on Facebook today . . . were we really that young when we met and has it really been 35 years?
Today he turns 60.  I think sometimes I look at him and still see this guy . . .
. . . maybe that's a good thing and maybe that's why we have made it 35 years.
Love you Coach!

skeletons, unicorns, and pirate hats . . .

Life is busy!  Work is busy!  Home is busy!
I am tearing my house apart . . . painting, organizing, throwing out, and redecorating.  I am full of energy and ideas, although sometimes by body tells me to stop and rest . . . so I listen because it really is better if I do.  So it is taking a little longer than I would like . . .
I am enjoying the process, but not the mess.  Although the mess keeps me motivated.
By this time I usually have all my Halloween decorations up, I am not sure if that is going to happen this year.  But it's me . . . and it's October . . . so I have to at least have a skeleton or two hanging around.  I pulled out one of my big skeletons the other night and Charlotte's reaction was . . . "Grandma, we have to take a picture." . . . so of course we had to.  There is always time for silly pictures and shadow peace signs with Lily, and watching baseball games.  The National Anthem is always better with a unicorn and a pirate hat . . . don't you agree!
Happy Tuesday!
Enjoy the process!

Zombie Doll Swap . . . HATTER

My zombie doll was received - so I am able to post pictures of the doll I sent to Trisha!
This doll was so much fun to make and I love how he turned out.
Along with all his goodies . . . he now resides in New York.
Thank you Valerie at Yarnigras Swapper Spot for putting this swap together.
This is my second year participating . . . I am looking forward to another swap next year!

As far as zombies go, Hatter is very friendly . . .
but more than a little bonkers!
He loves tea, and never goes anywhere without his hat.
Hatter has been known to be very charming . . . especially with people he knows and
when attending tea parties.  Although, his obsession with tea and tea parties
may also set him off.  Then you may see is “mad”, crazy, eccentric side.
Yep . . . completely off his rocker.
Enjoy this little zombie doll.  He may be entirely bonkers,
but I’ll tell you a secret . . . All the best people are.

feeling excited!

Life is not measured by the breaths you take,
but by the moments that take your breath away.
