sneak peek . . .

I want to post a picture of this doll so badly . . . but I need to wait until I ship her to the other side of the country.  Once again I joined the Zombie Doll Swap at Yarnigras Swapper Spot.
This year the theme was "Partying Zombies".
Sometimes when I have a specific doll that I have to make . . . it takes me longer to get going compared to when I just start making one with no idea in mind.  The best thing I can do in that situation is just start . . . which I finally had to do since I have to ship her this week.
So after thinking about it for two weeks . . . and changing my mind completely once I got started . . . things started to come together.  I really think she turned out fun!!!!
I will post pictures of her after she is received.
I am also involved in another Halloween doll Giveaway that I found on Instagram.  I am using a doll that I already made . . . but have to add a few things to that little monster.
Going back to work and being busy sort of got in the way of my creativity for a few weeks.  (I hate when that happens.)  All I needed was a little push . . . Thank you Yarigras for your Zombie Doll Swap.

getting ready for October

So I attended a "paint night" back in June.  Jennifer picked the painting that we would do and picked this one because she knows I like skeletons.  I had a blast . . . but didn't honestly know what I was going to do with a purple skeleton painting.  I figured I would maybe use it as a Halloween decoration.  So I decided to do this to it . . . I still can't say I like my painting - but I like it a lot better this way.  One of the things I like most about decorating for Halloween - is that anything goes.  It doesn't have to be perfect or elegant . . . or even make sense.  I think the color of the flowers really make this much more fun . . . and perfect for next month!  I can't wait to start decorating for October!

still here . . .

your heart will also be.

I haven't posted here in a month . . . how did that happen?
Life has been busy . . . mainly because I started back to work last month and the first few weeks of school is simply a busy and chaotic time.  I love it . . . but I am glad things have settled down some.
We have had some time to play in a tent . . . play with skeletons . . .
. . . and play with some skeletons in the tent.  LOL!  Lily is really into the skeletons this year . . . I have a feeling she will be helping me decorate for Halloween.
Charlotte is very much into painting and coloring these days and Avery is busy being 5 months old.
Life is busy, but Life is Good!
