El Carmelo Cemetery

El Carmelo Cemetery was near where we were staying.  Richard shakes his head, but knows that I like to take a look at old cemeteries . . . so yes,  he thinks I'm weird, but he goes along with it.  I am not sure why I find them fascinating . . . but always have.

I think I mentioned that I like to take pictures when we are out wandering.  

So many fun things wherever you go . . . 

I couldn't help but think of the bookstore in "The Never Ending Story" when I walked past this store.  We would have gone in, but it wasn't open yet and we didn't walk back the same way.  Next time I get to Monterey . . . I need to visit this store.

I am with Richard (aka - Steve) . . . so of course we have to visit a local brewery.

Alvarado Street Brewery . . . their beer was great!

This one was called "The Best Part of Waking Up" . . . 

. . . my kind of beer - so dark you can't read what is on the glass.  

It was one of the best stout's that I have tasted.

A few more pictures before I turn in . . . a fun day which included a visit to the Point Pinos Lighthouse in Pacific Beach.  Of course I had to bring some paper cranes along on our trip - although I have them all mixed up as far as placing them in numerical order.
I will have to get that all straightened out.  

more wandering . . .

I was having trouble working with Blogger on my iPad . . . Not sure what I was doing wrong, but I can finally post with a little less trouble.  I love taking pictures . . . and I love taking pictures when we are out of town even more.  We haven't been to Monterey in quite some time . . . so we simply parked and then wandered . . . and had a great time on Cannery Row.  I do believe Zoltar predicted it is going to be a good trip.

So these succulents were amazing.  I don't think I have ever seen any so large and so beautiful.  They were outside a bakery that unfortunately was closed . . . so we didn't get any good pastries, but hey there's a shot of Steve and Misty in the window.  LOL

I am trying to post from my ipad and I think I am finally getting it to work.
