Every Thing I Need to Know . . .
Like a lot people . . . I grew up with Little Golden Books and so did my children. I loved them as a child and I still do, Just something about those cardboard covers, the gold foil bindings, and of course the inside cover . . . "This Little Golden Book belongs to ________".
I still have a stack of them that I cannot seem to part with. So I found this book last week and had to get it. I would love to share every page . . . it is that cute, but that would make for a very long post. I have picked just a few. This book would make a fun gift.
(Each page also has the name of the Little Golden Book that the illustration comes from.)

Murals by Taylor . . .
I am proud to say that his young man is my nephew. Just thought it would be fun to share this photo of him. I am waiting to get a copy of this entire article . . . to find out more about his murals. I have only seen photos of his murals and other work he has done . . . . from what I have seen he is a very talented young man. Plus I just love the photo of him!

family . . .
I'm not really sure what I am going to do with all of them yet . . . but I just kept finding them and before I knew it I had a whole family. I had the two larger skeletons that I bought last year. Ashley brought me a small one the other day - (doll size in the photo). I found the dog a couple of weeks ago . . . and then the other night I saw the cat at bird. I figured since I had all of that - I may as well buy the two smaller ones and make a family. I have no idea why I find them to be so much fun.
Now . . . . what to do with them., :)
"There is something about a closet that makes a skeleton terribly restless." ~ John Barrymore
What did the skeleton say to the bartender?
I'll have two beers and a mop.
Why didn't the skeleton go to see a scary movie?
He didn't have the guts.

This is what I find when I leave my phone sitting on the table unattended. :)
For some reason . . . I love that face.

a surprise in my mailbox . . . .
"Be happy, and a reason will come."

I received a box of beautiful handmade cards yesterday from an old friend. They were not all Halloween cards, but of course the Halloween cards are my favorite. I will have to take some pictures of some of the other ones. I was so excited when I opened the box . . . there were over 20 cards - each one so detailed and beautifully made. I love them! I used a couple last night when I sat down to write letters. My friend Laurie sells these in a local antique store where she lives . . . says making them is her therapy. I had to smile at that. It seems like most people I know who create things - see that benefit. These cards are going to be great to use in my 365 day mail challenge.

Orange . . .
With Halloween just around the corner . . . I guess everyone thought I needed to get in the holiday spirit. I came back to work this week and everyone brought me little gifts they found over the weekend. These two little figurines . . .
This dancing Snoopy . . . it plays a fun tune - (that Charlotte loves.)
. . . and this fun skeleton ring. So cute . . . why wait until October - I wore it today!
I walked through some antiques stores yesterday and couldn't help but get excited about all the cute Halloween stuff . . . and the color orange.
I've had the color orange on my mind ever since. :)
I guess maybe I should have had that pink nail painted orange . . .
maybe next time. :)
